What is Anniversary Brunch?

Our Anniversary Brunch is one of our most beloved traditions, a celebration of the amazing women who have shaped our club’s legacy. This annual gathering is the only event where we come together to recognize the accomplishments of our members—both individually and as a group committed to making a difference in our community.

It’s more than just a brunch. It is a heartfelt tribute to the dedication, leadership, and camaraderie that define our organization. With our Vice President leading the way as Mistress of Ceremonies, we honor Past Presidents, Women of the Year (WOTY), Rookies of the Year (ROTY), and Actives who have contributed to our club’s success. Along with celebrating past honorees, we will announce this year’s Woman of the Year and Rookie of the Year—recognizing their outstanding dedication and impact. We will also honor members with Outstanding Attendance awards and present scholarships to inspiring recipients.

To bring a sense of nostalgia and connection to our club’s roots, the event features a fashion show, a nod to the 1940s when the “Twenty-Thirtyettes” made fashion shows a signature part of their gatherings. This special tradition links our past with our present, reminding us of the strong, vibrant women who laid the foundation of our organization.

The Anniversary Brunch is a chance to reflect on all we have accomplished, strengthen our bonds, and look ahead to the continued growth and success of Greater Sacramento #1032.

About Us

We have been helping children in the Sacramento community since the 1930s as an auxiliary of the Active 20-30 Sacramento #1 Club (“men’s club”). Originally known as the “20-30-ettes of Sacramento No. 1”, our members – who were required to be married to a member of the men’s club - met to play bridge and enjoy each other’s company while their husbands participated in Active 20-30 events. Our members were also always available to assist any projects hosted by the men’s Club.

In 1985, paperwork was filed to change our name to “Sacramento Active 20-30 Women’s Club”. In 1988, the National organization voted in favor of allowing women to join. On December 11, 1990, we formally chartered as part of Active 20-30 Club. On January 4, 1991, we filed to change our name one final time to how we are now known today, “Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento No. 1032”.

Our club has hosted different events over the years like Chili Cook-off, Taste of the City, Monte Carlo, Carnivale, Footgolf, Sactown Urban Dash, and our Annual Crab Feed to raise funds and create memorable experiences for the Sacramento community. We have has raised millions and then put the funds to work here in the Sacramento Valley to help underserved children. We welcome women that want grow, make friends, and develop leadership skills while improving the quality of life for the underserved children in the Sacramento community.
